Tasted November 8, 2021Nose: No sweet notes, moldy undertone. The longer it breathes the more traditional nose comes out, in the end it’s more mossy than moldy. Pallet: Overall it’s spicy (but at barrel strength I’m not surprised) when it first hits your tongue but it subsides with a tingling hot caramel. I read marshmallow in the tasting notes so I just can’t get that out of my head. Finish: Oaky barrel notes with the char and beyond that is a hug. Kroger Pick, Warehouse K, Floor 5, 128.8 proof. This is a thinker bottle, not a crusher and it won’t be for everyone. On the second dram everything comes more clear, a touch of water does open it up, not traditionally a fan of adding water but it does mellow out the bite to let the other flavors come through.70.0 USD per Bottle -

Tasted November 7, 2021I tried the 132 proof "batch 5th anniversary" version. Spicy strong and sweet nose. The sweet spice hits you and then the strong abv does after. An oily spicy finish.
